Hospice Branch Thrilled at Coffee Morning Response

Though they’re still counting the total from their big fundraising day, Castleisland Hospice fundraising branch members are thrilled with the response to this year’s annual coffee morning which was held on Thursday from 9am to 5pm.

Huge crowds turned out at both Jack Shanahan’s coffee space in Garvey’s SuperValu and at the new town venue at J.K. O’Connor’s.

A Huge €2,650.00.

Rosemary Pender did a tour of family and friends in her area to add substantially to the final tally on the day which was a huge €2,650.00.

“We are thrilled with the turnout on the day, our new town venue was a huge success and we thank Neil Hickey for allowing us to use it and his sister Helen O’Connell for all of her help,” said branch spokesperson, Liz Galwey.

Thanks to Volunteers and Supporters

“We must also thank everyone who volunteered and who dropped in such lovely home baked cakes and pastries, we had a huge response to our request for assistance.

“If you didn’t manage to donate on the day or would still like to attend a coffee morning remember that Eileen O’Shea will host a coffee morning at her home in Droumroe, Currow on Friday morning next, September 22nd,” said Ms. Galwey.
