An Ríocht Athletic Club President, Denis Brosnan requests the pleasure of your company at the club grounds on Christmas morning for the annual Christmas Day GOAL Charity Mile.

You can drop in anytime between 10-30am to 12-30pm.

As a life long believer in the benefits of physical exercise, Denis would encourage visitors on the morning to walk, jog or run a lap or two of the newly, two-toned track.

Many Local Charities

The event, which has been going on here since 1999 has been raising badly needed cash for both GOAL and many local charities down through the years.

You can simply drop in and say Hello or Happy Christmas and drop something in the collection box.

Getting out, making the effort and a donation is what’s always important.

Goal’s humanitarian work in war ravaged Allepo in Syria has been added to local charities in recent years along with: Oileán Beo/St. John of God and Glebe Lodge Residential Centre and others.

Spirited Refreshments

Highly spirited and seasonal refreshments will be served after you do your stint on or off the track.

On occasions when the weather is against outdoor activity, the gathering in the spacious pavilion heightens the seasonal atmosphere.

The spirit of giving and helping others is what the whole GOAL Mile is all about.

Goal, Hospice and St. John of God to Benefit

This year’s GOAL Mile in Castleisland will go towards GOAL’s overseas operations and two local charities, the Castleisland fundraising branch of the Kerry Hospice Foundation and the An Ríocht AC based St. John of God /Oileán Beó Craft Co-Op.
