The death has occurred of Eddie Hayes of Barrakilla, Kielduff, Tralee and formerly of Connolly Park, Tralee and Castleisland, Co. Kerry.

Peacefully on 9th January 2018, beloved husband of Helen and dear father of Emma, Helena, Edwina, Michael and Matthew.

Sadly missed by his loving family, his six adored grandchildren, brothers Martin, Jimmy and Patrick, sister Noreen, son-in-law, daughters-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives and many friends.

Rest in Peace.

In my mind’s eye, Eddie Hayes will always be associated with the industry of the Tralee Road of my childhood. He worked at Horan’s Mills along with Seanie Broderick and we considered them top-of -the-towners and weren’t slow in telling them.

There was some good natured slagging matches as we went to and from school – times we often remembered with a laugh when we met at horse fairs in various locations in recent years. May God be good to him.
