Today Show to Feature Safe Home Ireland Option with Donal

If you’re anywhere near a television set later this afternoon, keep it tuned into RTÉ One and the Today with Maura and Daithí Show.

The show starts at 3:30pm and runs the two hours and ten minutes or so to 5:40pm.

At around the 5pm. mark there will be an item on Safe Home Ireland and representative, Karen McHugh and Castleisland native Donal McGlynn will be highlighting the work or the organisation.

Home to Retire

Donal, originally from Coolavanny, Castleisland, worked in England for years before deciding to come home to retire. He engaged Safe Home Ireland and is delighted with his new home at River View Place here in town.

Donal’s story also featured in the Irish Times recently and he’s a shining example of how people of retirement age can settle back into the communities they left in search of work many years before.

Safe Home Ireland was set up to assist older, Irish born emigrants to explore the option of returning to secure affordable housing back in their native areas.

Their work is spread across the 26 counties and they provide supports to housing applicants at every stage of their journey, from the initial enquiry from abroad to actual returning home.
