Congratulations to Shauna Tangney 

Scartaglen GAA and Scartaglen Coiste na nÓg would like to send its congratulations to Shauna Tangney who has been selected for the U-14 Kerry Ladies Football Team.

Shauna has been a prominent member of the Scartaglen teams from U-6s to U12s and is now part of the Scartaglen Ladies U-14 Team.

Great to see local talent coming through and being selected to represent your county.

Well done to all the coaches, family, friends and teammates involved throughout the years in helping Shauna get this far.

Darragh is the Last Man Standing

Congratulations to Darragh O’Regan who was the last man Standing Winner in the Premier League competition held recently. After eight weeks which resulted in 54 games, 38 wins, 16 draws and 161 goals, Darragh was the winner with his winning team being Liverpool.

Lotto in Lyons

Lotto will be held this Sunday in Lyons Bar for a jackpot of €2,400

East Kerry Super League

The senior men get their 2018 season underway this Sunday with a fixture against near neighbours Cordal. Throw in at Cordal is at 2pm.

Club Championship Draws

County club championship draws were made recently. Scartaglen are in the junior section.

They are in group one along with Castlegregory, Tarbert and Sneem/Derrynane.

Scartaglen’s first game is away to Tarbert. Date and time of fixture to be decided by CCC.

Referee Course

Kerry GAA will hold a foundation course for referees at the following dates and locations: Tralee on February 23rd and March 2nd at Austin Stack Park at 8pm.

Caherciveen on March 9th and 16th at 8pm. Venue to be decided. Killarney March 23rd and 30th at 8pm. Venue to be decided. The course is over two nights, with some work to be done online.

The course attendants will be brought back in for another night once they have officiated at a few games.

The course will last for an hour and a half each night and attendance on both nights is a must.

Kerry GAA is still recruiting referees and there is still time for clubs to get their nominations in to Mark Griffin, the Referees Coordinator whose email is refereesadministrator.kerry@gaa.ie

The administrator is asking clubs without a senior referee to try to recruit at least one person to undergo the course this year.

Club Officer Training

The Club Leadership Programme, Club Officer Training for 2018 will be delivered at the following venues: Tuesday, February 13th. 2018 at 7:15pm sharp at IT Tralee, Room T107 in the main building; On Wednesday, February 21st. 2018 at 7:15pm sharp at the Gleneagle Hotel Killarney in the Innisfallen Suite.

Both Senior and Coiste na nÓg chairperson, secretary, treasurer and PRO are requested to attend.
