Darragh O’Connell opened for the home team, David Lynch and Shane O’Connell added baskets to see St. Mary’s go eight points to no score up in the first four minutes.

Gary Murphy was first to register a score for Imperials, he added a bonus and Robbie Dinan added a point but the Tralee side were no match for St. Mary’s who hit four from outside and missed nothing inside during this first quarter which finished 23 points to four.

Tralee’s Gary Murphy opened the scoring in the second quarter but David Riordan and Jonathon Hilliard were quick to respond pushing St. Mary’s further ahead. St. Mary’s registered 12 points to Imperials nine for the quarter leaving the half time score at 35 points to 1

A big third quarter performance from Imperials Gary Murphy saw them take the quarter and reduce the gap by four points. St. Mary’s led by 18 going into the final 10 minutes. Imperials Keelan Crowe netted an impressive 10 points for his side but they were no match for St. Mary’s who took the game on a score line of 64 points to 43.

St. Mary’s: Seamus Brosnan 19, Shane O’Connell 14, Jonathon Hilliard 9, Darragh O’Connell 9, Nathan Nolan 5, David Riordan 3, David Lynch 3 and Paudie Fleming 2.
