I just got this message in from music event organiser, Kate McSweeney to say that Laura from The Galway Street Club Band was onto her this morning about a missing tent with sentimental vaule to its owner.

Find the Tent

Kate hopes that The Maine Valley Post may be able to assist in finding the tent which a couple of the band members left in a Castleisland woman’s car after playing the Townlands Festival in Macroom at the weekend.

Band Members Hitching

The band members were hitching from the festival and the lady picked them up outside the festival grounds and dropped them to the next town.

“Her name is Rachel, she is blonde and late 20s or early 30s.

Black Car with Child Seats

She had a black car with child seats in it. She lived in Cork as far as they can recall but she’s from Castleisland,” said Laura in her message to Kate McSweeney.

The Maine Valley Post has, is and always will be a free resource for the people of the locality and its wider diaspora.

When we started in 2013, the intention was to be a weekly, online newsletter. Over time, the site has evolved into a much different beast with multiple updates on a daily basis.
Because of its nature as a digital publication, it brings with it certain expenses: computers and cameras that require updating and maintenance; internet hosting and access; to say nothing of the time and hard work that goes into the site. It all adds up…
Our online community has always been our greatest asset and a vocal supporter of the Maine Valley Post since day one.
