Olympic Medalist Cllr.Kenneth Egan to Visit Sliabh Luachra Boxing Club

2008 Beijing Olympics Silver Medalist Boxer, Kenneth Egan is scheduled to pay a flying visit to the Sliabh Luachra Boxing Club in Castleisland this Friday evening.

Also a European gold medalist, Mr. Egan is now a politician and he won a seat for Fine Gael in the South Dublin County Council 2014 local elections in his area.

Ten Times Irish Champ

He won the National champion ten times. He is a two-time European bronze medalist. Three-time EU gold medalist. Two-time EU bronze medalist and of course, the afore mentioned Olympic silver medalist.

He has also taken on and qualified for a career in psychotherapy and counseling in 2018, having been awarded a BA (Hons) In Integrative Counselling & Psychotherapy and Higher Diploma In Addiction Studies.

He practices as a counsellor based in his native Clondalkin.

Works with People

He works with people on motivation, resilience, leadership, alcohol misuse and abuse/addiction, mental health, therapy, health and well-being and trauma.

He is one of Ireland’s great Olympic boxing heroes and he will be accompanied to the Sliabh Luachra Boxing Club by local representative and his party colleague, Cllr. Bobby O’Connell.

Kenneth ‘Kenny’ Egan is in Castleisland for the Local Authority Members’ Association Conference at which over 350 delegates from all county and city council throughout Ireland will attend over the weekend at the River Island Hotel.
