By Marian Harnett
The Rise and Rise of the Healy Raes is a play in, appropriately enough, two acts and it has been on almost every stage in Kerry since its debut there in the spring of last year.
Written by Killarney based entertainer and storyteller, Ray O’Sullivan, the play is directed by Kerry’s Eye journalist and playwright, Aidan O’Connor.
Hilarious and Poignant
It’s a the hilarious and sometimes poignant story of bachelor brothers Densey and PJ Doona who appear time-locked in a life of loneliness and celibacy in their small family farm in Kerry.
The fully polished product embarked of a ‘World Tour of Kerry’ after its launch in Beaufort in March 2017. Tickets for the Tournafulla show can be booked by ringing 087 2279657.
