Mark Sugrue played a blinder on the Winning Streak set with Sinéad Kennedy and Marty Whelan tonight.

Mark won the €25,000 car at the start of the show and an eventual €33,000 in total winnings.

In fact Marty Whelan revealed that Mark had also won the car in the rehearsals earlier in the day.

After a spell as barman at Knightley’s Bar in Castlemaine, Mark has moved closer to home to Kearney’s Bar on Main Street, Castleisland.

Brought the Boss

Apart from family and neighbours, Mark also brought his new boss Betty O’Connell to the  RTÉ studios for his big night.

And guess where the party will be when they get home tonight.

The new-look Winning Streak programme is Ireland’s longest running game show.

Sixth Year for Hosts

The popular gameshow hosts, Marty Whelan and Sinead Kennedy are in their sixth year as co-presenters.

The show first appeared on RTÈ back in September 1990 and since then almost 6,000 people have taken part, winning in excess of €170 million in prizes.

Well done Mark.
