Castleisland Camera Club would like to thank everyone who supported its recent exhibition, fundraiser and coffee morning.
“The event was held on November 24th in the former Esmay Boutique on Lower Main Street. The venue was beautiful and the club would like to thank David ‘Dago’ Fleming and his daughter Joanne for giving us the opportunity to use their property,” said club spokesperson, Breda McGaley.
Well Supported
“The fundraiser was very well supported and once again people enjoyed the social aspect of the day as well as the wonderful array of photographs and greeting cards available to view and buy on the day.
“Club members treated all our callers to lovely homemade baking and teas and coffees. People could then browse through the exhibition or sit and chat with friends and neighbours.
Positive Feedback
“We sincerely thank everybody who supported our fundraiser or helped in any way and for the very positive feedback we have received since.
“We also took note of some suggestions from the public of what they would like to see more of in our next venture.
“The club would like to acknowledge the kindness of one of its members who donated a fantastic prize for our online advertising campaign.
Hairdressing Voucher
David Browne of David Browne Hairdressing, Currow gave a €50 voucher for his fabulous salon to the winner, Helena Buckley.
Finally Castleisland Camera Club would like to thank all the local media outlets who have been very accommodating and helpful in our efforts to advertise our club and its events. This is very much appreciated.
Day Care Donation
Castleisland Camera Club will make a donation of €200 to Castleisland Day Care Centre along with a beautiful collection of framed photographs of churches from Castleisland and the surrounding areas taken by our very talented club members.
