If new year resolutions are your thing then, there’s one you can make which has your health and well-being at heart.
An Ríocht AC is bringing back its popular Couch to 5k programme on January 15th and it will continue every Tuesday and Thursday nights at 7pm.
This programme will culminate in a 5k road race / fun run on April 14th.
Suitable for All Abilities
Designed to suit for beginners and all abilities, the programme will start with a combination of walking and short running intervals.
“It will gradually progress over the weeks with running interval times increasing slightly over the weeks,” said An Ríocht AC Manager, Hazel Byrne.
Walkers and Families Welcome
“Walkers and families are welcome, this is a very social programme and costs only €2 per session. “Some participants take part in the sessions purely for fitness reasons, and others take part with the goal of completing a 5k run.
“We have a 5km run on the 14th April 2019 that participants can sign up for if they wish and that’s totally optional,” Ms. Byrne concluded.
