Day Care Centre Funding Success – Cllr. O’Connell

Castleisland Day Care Centre was successful in securing funding under a grant scheme provided from central government under Minister Michael Ring’s Department of Rural and Community Development – according to Cllr. Bobby O’Connell.

The centre received €5,000 for an upgrade to its laundry facilities and €1,000 for a digital chair scales and lucky star bingo machine.

Currow Coiste Na nÓg AGM

PRO Con Enright sent a note to inform current and potential members that the Currow Coiste Na nÓg AGM will take place in the Currow GAA Club dressing rooms on Thursday 17th January at 8:30pm.

All coaches are asked to attend and any new members are also more than welcome to come along on the night.

Thanks from Hospice for Church Gate Donations

Members of the Castleisland fundraising branch of the Kerry Hospice Foundation would like to thank all those who contributed to the recent church gate collection in the Castleisland area.

€1,934.00 was collected and will go directly to the Palliative Care Centre Unit at University Hospital Kerry.

Active Retired Tea Dance at the River Island

Sliabh Luachra Active Retired Network will hold its regular afternoon Tea Dance on Sunday 20th January 2019 in the River Island Hotel, Castleisland.

Main course lunch will be served at 1pm sharp. Followed by an afternoon of music and dance until 4:30pm. Buses sponsored by Local Link Kerry available from your area.
