Kerry Sinn Féin TD Martin Ferris has congratulated all those involved in maintaining Kerry’s beaches after six were placed in TripAdvisor’s top ten Irish beaches.
“The TripAdvisor results for our beaches in Kerry is recognition to all those involved in the protection and maintenance of our fantastic natural amenities,” said Deputy Ferris.
Taken for Granted
“While many of us take our beaches for granted, a huge amount of work goes into the upkeep of the coastline, to the local communities and voluntary groups who keep a close watch and carry out voluntary cleanups each year.”
Considerable Resources
“Also Kerry County Council spends considerable resources on maintaining and safeguarding our beaches. All those involved deserve a huge amount of gratitude and these results should be a reminder to the general public to keep our beaches to the highest possible standards and we all have a role to play.”
