The annual general meeting of Knocknagoshel Community Centre will be held in the centre on Thursday, March 28th at 8:30pm and all local residents and people who would like to volunteer are welcome to attend.

New Kitchen and Facilities

Knocknagoshel Community Centre is currently undergoing renovations which consist of the construction of new kitchen and refitting the toilets.

The construction of the new kitchen is well underway and should be complete in May.

The refitting of the toilets will commence when the kitchen is complete and the old kitchen is no longer required.

Plans on Facebook

The plans for all the work are available to view on centre Facebook page or by contacting the committee chairman or secretary.

The committee works tirelessly at all times to maintain and improve conditions of the building and it endeavours to ensure safety, comfort and accessibility for all its patrons, service users, members and staff.

New Members Welcome

As the community centre AGM approaches the committee is earnestly looking for new members to join the team.

“We welcome anybody living in the area willing to voluntarily give some of their time or expertise to join our team,” said committee spokesperson, Mary McAuliffe.

Membership Rewarding

“Becoming a member will be rewarding and will generally mean giving a small amount of your time per month and assisting with occasional projects that may arise from time to time.

“If you would like any further information on the commitment you would be about to make, feel free to contact a committee member to discuss it.

Hard Working Staff

“We would like to thank our dedicated staff for all their hard work during the last year. We would also like to thank the groups who use the community centre for their commitment to always working with us to keep the centre in excellent condition.

“The centre is a credit to its founding members, current members, patrons, staff and all who have been involved through the years,” said Mary.
