Castleisland District

The team, drawn from the Castleisland district, led for the first three quarters but a late come back by Liffey Celtics saw them take the title by a single point.

Coach Tracey Hartnett-O’Connell said she is so proud of the girls:

So Proud of the Team

“They were fantastic all weekend, they played five games and never gave up, I am so proud of them.

“The support from the parents was second to none and that they kept the girls going all weekend,” said Tracey.

Mothers’ Day Gesture

In a timely Mothers’ Day gesture the girls gave their moms their medals for a special picture at the end of the weekend.

St. Mary’s U-14 boys will contest the B group in Gormanstown next weekend and the U-16s will take part in the A competition on the following weekend.
