Castleisland Family Resource recently received a welcome cheque for €1,000 from fuel suppliers Inver Energy in association with O’Keeffe’s Rathmore and Phil Horan Service Station, Killarney Road, Castleisland.

Additional Needs Projects

The funding will go towards the continuation of the additional needs projects which take place in the family resource centre. The centre currently provides camps at various times of the year for children who have additional needs. The camps include arts and crafts, recreation, relaxation and baking and are usually run at times when school is out.

Adequate Attention

Numbers attending vary but are kept to the minimum so as to give adequate attention to all attending. Marie O’Connor, president of the centre thanked Kieran and George O’Keeffe along with both Phil and Catherine Horan for nominating this project for the funding and she added that their contribution will ensure the continuation of the project in 2019.
