There is growing concern in Tralee and Castleisland for the welfare of local man, 52 year old, Dan Sheehy.

The Castleisland native, Tralee resident has been missing from home and without contacting his immediate or extended family for over a week since he boarded an early morning, Dublin bound train on Monday week, April 29th.

Mart Office Staff

Dan will be well known as a member of the busy office staff at Castleisland Co-Op Mart and he was a regular on the Tralee Road as he often thumbed a lift to and from work.

As a family, the Sheehy’s have been through more than their share of knocks in recent years.

It’s on that very basis that those close to Dan understand that people have different ways of coping with the kind of knocks that life throws at them.

Brother’s Appeal

I spoke to Dan’s brother, Tommy this evening and he knows exactly how Dan feels and just how recent family bereavements and misfortune can blow people off course for a while.

“We’d just love to know that Dan is alright and that he’s safe and well and we’d be delighted to hear from him or from anyone who knows where he is at present.

I spoke to another daily Tralee to Castleisland commuter this evening and she was going to the church to light a candle for his safe return.
