Best wishes to Monsignor Dan O’Riordan on his retirement from the Castleisland parish.

He said his last mass as parish priest here on Saturday evening and we in the Desmonds GAA Club thank him for his support while here in Castleisland since July 2008.

Best Wishes Tomás and Philip and the Kerry Juniors

Best wishes to Desmonds player,Tomás Lynch who is part of the Kerry junior men’s team that play Galway on this Saturday evening July 20th in Portlaoise in the All Ireland final and to Cordal man, Philip O’Connor who has the honour of captaining the team.

Throw in for this game is at 5pm.

Fixtures & Results

The Desmonds senior men’s team travel to play Brosna in round 9 of the Kerry Division 2 of the league on Saturday evening. Throw in at 7:30pm.

They played Kenmare last Saturday evening at home and secured a point with a draw on the score of Kenmare 1-18 Castleisland Desmonds 2-15 – the Desmonds goals came from Danny Hickey and Adam O’Donoghue.

U-14 Boys in League Semi Final

The U-14 boys are in the semi-final of Central Region League where they play Milltown- Castlemaine on Tuesday evening July 23rd. The venue and time are to be decided.

U-16 Boys in Ballyduff

The U-16 Boys travelled to play Ballyduff in the Co.League but unfortunately lost on the score of 2-21 to 5-9

U-13 Ladies in Sandra Keane Blitz

The U-13 girls travel this coming Saturday July 20th to the John Mitchels GAA Grounds to participate in the Sandra Keane Ladies Football Blitz. Starting at 10am. Best wishes to all the girls and team mentors.
