John Spillane at An Glórach

After two very successful concerts recently, we are delighted to announce that we will be holding a number of concerts over the next few months.

By Marian Harnett

First up on Friday, August 16 is the legendary Corkonian John Spillane. John played last summer at the Glórach and delivered a memorable set, including songs such as ‘The Dunnes Store Girl’, ‘Johnny don’t go to Ballincollig’ and ‘Dance of the Cherry Trees’ and many other favourites, as well as his customary banter and unique humour.

The concert starts at 8 pm and tickets, which are €15, can be booked at 087 1383940.

Looking towards September, we have a fantastic array of entertainment during Listowel Race Week.

Local trad group Fuinneamh are aptly named, given the energetic performances they are renowned for, and they will take to the stage at the Glórach on Saturday, September 7.

On Thursday, September 12, acclaimed Limerick singer-songwriter Emma Langford makes her Glórach debut, a gig not to be missed. She played at Éigse Michael Harnett in 2018 and it was a wonderful night of music.

Keep an eye on our facebook page for updates on all the concerts, look forward to seeing ye there.
