Knocknagoshel Harvest Festival

The programme of events for this year’s Harvest Festival kicks off with Tiny Tots Races on the coming Friday August 9th at 7pm in Knocknagoshel Village.

Glamorous Granny and Bonny Baby competitions will follow the races.​

​On Saturday 10th August there will be a timed 5k run from the GAA pitch at 11am with registration from 10am.

Please note there is a change of date and time for the annual Simon Keane Memorial Football Blitz – this will now take place at the GAA pitch at 12pm on Saturday 10th August.

There will be a Fancy Dress Competition in the Community Centre at 6pm.

At 9pm Walsh’s Bar will host a Donkey Derby Race Night which will be a great night of excitement and fun in support of the GAA club.

Dog Show Sunday

​On Sunday 11th August The Dog Show will take place at 1pm at Walsh’s Field.  Later that day O’Connor’s Bar will host a 5 Card Poker Night from 6pm to 9pm.​

Pattern Day Sports

The Pattern Day Sports will be held from 6pm at the GAA Pitch on 15th August.  There will be live music in all the bars until late.​

​Friday 16th August will see the annual Knocknagoshel Horse Fair and Car Boot Sale in the village. There will be a Village Sports/Fun Day from 1pm in Walsh’s field with proceeds to Coiste na nÓg and Pieta House. ​

Vintage Run

On Saturday 17th August the Vintage Run will start at 6pm with registration from 5pm in the Village.  All proceed to Diabetes Ireland.​

​On Saturday 24th August the Knocknagoshel Pattern Rose selection will take place in O’Connor’s Bar from 9pm.  All proceeds to the Kerry/Cork Health Link Bus.​

€8,800 Lotto Draw at The Bridge

The lotto draw for a jackpot of €8,700 was held in Walsh’s Bar on Saturday night last.  The numbers drawn were 12,16,20 and 31.

There was no winner of the jackpot.  The five lucky dips of €30 each were won by: Brian O’Connor, Raheenagh; Liz Roche, Kinconlea; Elaine Guiney, Brosna; Linda Lyons, Knocknagoshel and Kieran Long, Dublin.

The next draw will be for a jackpot of €8,800 and will be held in Moynihans Bar on Saturday 7th September.

Minors Lose to Beale

Knocknagoshel/Brosna/Duagh lost to lost to Beale in the North Kerry League semi final.​

Coiste na nÓg

Kocknagoshel/Brosna/Duagh U16’s beat Scartaglen/Cordal in the County League.​

Knocknagoshel/Brosna U12’s will play in the North Kerry League on Sunday 11th August at 6pm in Duagh. ​

Kerry v Tyrone Tickets Available

Kerry will play Tyrone in Croke Park on Sunday 11th August 2019 at 3.30pm.  Tickets are available from selected SuperValu and Centra stores and on tickets.ie​

Knocknagoshel Clothes Collection

Knocknagoshel GAA are holding an ongoing clothes collection to help raise funds for the club. Bags of clothes can be left into the white lorry container near the log cabin at the Football Field. All types of clothes are accepted as well as shoes, handbags, curtains and towels. Please note that duvets are not accepted.
