The committee and responders in training of Castleisland Community First Responders would like to thank Castleisland Members’ Golf Club for facilitating their golf classic on Saturday last.

Committee spokesperson, Oorla Casey said that they are very grateful to their main sponsors, Walsh Color Print and who sponsored the prizes on the day.

Responders’ Sincere Gratitude

“We wish to extend our sincere gratitude to all who entered teams and those who sponsored tees and greens we would also like to thank Castleisland Rugby Club for providing us with their training room for the initial training of our responders,

“We must include the entire community which has supported us from day one and without its generosity our ‘Go Live’ date shortly would not be possible,” said Ms. Casey.

Poor Weather Conditions

“The day itself was a massive success, despite the poor weather conditions.

“Afterwards, a short informative session on the aims of the Castleisland Community First Responders was presented by Eamon O’Connor and a prize giving for the winners was hosted in Browne’s Bar by Chairperson Neil Browne and Deputy Chairperson Andrew Foran and other committee members,” Oorla concluded.
