Castleisland Desmond GAA Club members extend their deepest sympathy to the family and friends of Bill Walsh RIP.

Originally from Desmond’s Ave and Castleview, Castleisland, Bill was an active and dedicated member of the club, coaching juvenile teams for many years, until the family moved to Killorglin.

Our thoughts and prayers are with Christina and Rosemary, Anthony, Daniel, and Timothy.

Last Lotto of 2019 at Tom’s

The last Lotto draw of 2019 took place in McCarthy’s bar on December 21st. The numbers drawn were 2, 6, 9, 12.

There was no winner of the jackpot of €6,700.

Lucky dip prizes were won by Brenda Tangney, Castleisland (€30) and Reidin O’Loughlin, Currow; Sinead O’Connor, Castleisland; Mary Murphy, Dooneen and Gerard Keane (€20 each).

We thank Tom McCarthy and his staff for hosting the draw and all our members and supporters who sold or purchased tickets during the year.
