Radio Kerry’s Celebrate4Life invites you to celebrate Kerry lives and support the work of four Kerry charities.
Radio Kerry has launched Celebrate4Life, an initiative to help raise vital funds for four Kerry charities while celebrating the lives of those who have survived and those whose lives were lost to Covid-19.
Radio Kerry Contribution of €10,000
The four Kerry charities involved are: Kerry Hospice Foundation; Comfort for Chemo; Recovery Haven and the Kerry Cancer Support Group.
The board of Radio Kerry has approved a contribution of €10,000 to launch the appeal.
Donations to Celebrate4Life can be made online by clicking on the link below or, from Monday, via SMS by texting KERRY to 50300 to donate €4.
Charities will Get 100% of Funds
Celebrate4Life will receive a minimum of €3.60. Radio Kerry will carry the full administration, marketing and personnel costs associated with Celebrate4Life.
The charities will receive 100% of the funds raised after online or SMS fees.
Radio Kerry’s Kerry Today programme will profile each charity on air from July 27th. While Friday July 31st will be main Celebrate4Life fundraising day donations are welcome any time between Monday July 27th and Sunday August 9th.
An Essential Service
Classed as an essential service Radio Kerry has broadcast throughout the Covid-19 pandemic keeping our listeners, online and social media followers informed and entertained.
Our direct contact with frontline services and the people of Kerry and beyond means that we are extremely aware of the depth and range of hardship and suffering endured by so many.
We know that charities continued to work in spite of lock-down restrictions to support people in need.
Fundraising Postponed or Lost
The lock-down resulted in almost all of their fundraising being either postponed or lost and Celebrate4 Life aims to assist with recouping some of that funding.
This was true of all charities not alone the four that we are partnering with on this occasion.
We feel that almost everyone will identify with them at some period in our lives.
