Culture Night: Artists Shine in Kerry’s First Online Night of Celebration

Kerry’s unique Culture Night 2020 brought the best out in its artists and in its manipulators of technology in bringing the brilliance of performance to its countywide / worldwide audience.

Culture Night went online this year in Kerry.

On Friday night there were events hosted on Facebook pages, and livestreams and feeds as Kerry artists once again gave the public the opportunity to experience the best in dance, music, visual arts and more.

Highlights Included ……

Highlights included: a dance performance film from Catherine Young’s Welcoming the Stranger project; a short film called Fiúntas by the National Circus Festival of Ireland; a rendition of Mo Ghile Mear by Patrick Sheehy; Sliabh Luchra slides by Bryan O’Leary and a specially curated music video by Muireann Nic Amhlaoibh.

We had twenty events across Kerry this year, with artists and groups doing amazing work to move their events online.
