Online Yoga Series

These online series are being made possible due to the collaboration between Kerry County Council, the HSE, NEWKD, SKDP, Kerry Mental Health Association, Jigsaw Kerry, IT Tralee and Kerry Volunteer Centre.

“All adults in Kerry and workplaces to avail of these free 15-minute mindfulness and yoga sessions to help people to switch off, find ways to relax and support their general well-being during these difficult times. This is a perfect opportunity for employers to support well-being in their workplace,” said Donagh Hennebry, chairperson of the Kerry Mental Health and Well-being Fest,

Keep Well Campaign

“The sessions are a key component of the local initiatives that are being developed and rolled out across the county under the national ‘Keep Well’ campaign and I would encourage everyone to take part,” said Cllr Patrick Connor-Scarteen, Cathaoirleach of Kerry County Council.

Taking time out to relax and unwind is such an important thing to do at the present challenging time.”

The Keep Well campaign in Kerry complements the national government campaign and focuses on five ways to support community well-being, which are:

Physical And Mental Health

Keeping active and being outdoors – even during the winter, it is important to help physical and mental health and well-being.

Staying connected – staying connected with people and addressing isolation as person-to-person connection is important to our well-being.

Switching off and being creative – switching off and being creative or learning something new, getting back to nature and finding ways to relax can help our general well-being.

Eating well – by nourishing your body and mind we can positively impact our physical and mental well-being.

Managing your mood – equipping people with information on where to go if they need support.
