The Joan Shanahan, nee O’Shea, Currow Village, Killarney, Co. Kerry.

The death has occurred of Joan Shanahan, nee O’Shea, Currow Village, Killarney, Co. Kerry and formerly of Rossanean, Currow.

Peacefully, on February 11th 2021, in her 96th year, surrounded by her loving family, in the excellent care of the Palliative Care Team at University Hospital Kerry.

Beloved wife of the late Paddy Batt.

Sadly missed by her loving family Joan, Denis and Margaret, sons-in-law Dan and Con, her adored grandchildren Daniel, Siobhán, Marilyn, Patrick, Niall and the late Tim, her three great-grandchildren Olivia, Kyle and Kate, sister Mary, sister-in-law Mary O’Shea, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours and many friends.

A private family funeral will take place for Joan with her Requiem Mass on Monday morning at 11am in the Church of the Immaculate Conception, Currow followed by burial in St. Michael’s Cemetery Killeentierna, Currow.

Please note, the funeral cortège will depart Joan’s residence at 10.30am on Monday morning and travel on to the church and will depart the church at 12 noon approx and travel to the cemetery.
