The Late Leila (Mary) Moloney, nee Riordan, Cahernard, Castleisland and formerly of 12 O’Connell’s Terrace Killarney.

The death has occurred of Leila (Mary) Moloney, nee Riordan, Cahernard, Castleisland, Co Kerry and formerly of 12 O’Connell’s Terrace Killarney.

Lelia passed away peacefully on the 12th April 2021 in her 95th year, at her daughter Maura’s residence in Ballyrehan, Lixnaw, Co. Kerry.

Beloved wife of the late Garda John. Sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her loving daughters Maura O’Connell, Breda in Cork and Leila in Castleisland; her sons: Michael, Killarney; Sean, Beaufort; Paul, England; Colum, Killarney; Gary, Beaufort and Neil, Castleisand; her son-in-law Christy, daughters-in-laws Ena, Kathleen, Sandra, Eileen, Mary and Shellagh, her adored 21 grandchildren and 16 great- grandchildren, her nieces and nephew, neighbours and friends.

Predeceased by her brother Michael and her sisters Joan , Kathleen and Breda.

May Her Gentle Soul Rest In Peace.

A Private Family Funeral

A private family funeral will take place for Leila with her Requiem Mass on Wednesday morning at 11am in Castleisland Parish Church.

The Mass will be live-streamed on www.churchservices.tv

As Leila’s remains is being donated to the Medical Research Dept at U.C.C. her burial will take place at a later date.

No flowers please. Donations if desired to the Castleisland Day Care Centre c/o Tangney’s Funeral Home, Castleisland.

Funeral Cortège Route

Please Note: The funeral cortège will arrive from Lixnaw to Castleisland parish church at 10.45am on Wednesday morning and depart the church at 12 noon and travel up Church Street, out Killarney Road stopping at her residence at Cahernard and then travelling onwards to Cork.
