The invitations have gone out to the world of Irish Traditional Music followers everywhere now that we’re down to the brass tacks of the event as the magic of that special Saturday in May is here.

Good Morning – it’s World Fiddle Day Scartaglin day.

Elsewhere in the world it’s just World Fiddle Day as people all over take members of the fiddle family and bow in hands to pay the annual tribute to the instruments and to those who mastered it / them and their legacy.

“Join us online for a special evening presentation of a series of events to celebrate World Fiddle Day 2021 in Scartaglin, Co. Kerry,” said co-organiser PJ Teahan.

With Joe McGill and Aoife Nic Cormaic

In a message he has also shared on the Saturday Supplement with Joe McGill on Radio Kerry and on Sunday night with Aoife Nic Cormaic on The Rolling Wave on RTÉ Radio One, PJ, in a highly impressive ‘Radio Éireann’ debut let us know that this weekend’s celebration of the fiddle and its relations will be specific to its many Sliabh Luachra associations and traditions.
