The Late Eileen ‘Eily’ O’Leary, nee Sheehan, Rossanean, Currow and formerly of Counguilla,Scartaglen.

The death has occurred of Eileen ‘Eily’ O’Leary, nee Sheehan, Rossanean, Currow, Killarney, Co. Kerry and formerly of Counguilla, Scartaglen.

Peacefully on May 26th 2021 in her 93rd year, surrounded by her loving family in the excellent care of the Palliative Care Team at University Hospital Kerry.

Beloved wife of the late Mikey. Sadly missed and fondly remembered by her loving family: Bridget in Sligo; Hannah in Ballymacelligott; Pa in Currow; Maggie in New York; Eileen in Dingle; Cathy in Ballymacelligott and Mary in Kildare; sons-in-law, her adored eighteen grandchildren Kelly, Rachel, Mikey, Sheamie, Ashley, Timmy, Ryan, Courtney, Luke, Cara, Adam, Eric, Ciara, Katie, Bella, Christopher, Siofra and Páraic, her brother Dan Sheehan and his wife Rita in Mallow; brother-in-law Christy O’Leary in Clare; nephew Diarmuid, niece Helen, relatives, neighbours and many friends.

Private Family Funeral 

A private family funeral will take place for Eily with her Requiem Mass on Saturday morning at 11am in the Church of the Immaculate Conception, Currow. Burial afterwards in St. Michael’s Cemetery, Killeentierna, Currow.

Funeral Cortège Route

Please Note: The funeral cortège will depart Eily’s residence at 10:30am on Saturday morning en route to the church and will depart the church at 12 noon approximately en route to the cemetery.

Please ensure HSE guidelines on social distancing are adhered to at all times.
