The under-age structure in Scartaglin GAA Club got a considerable boost this week with the announcement that Garvey’s SuperValu was to pay a visit bearing gifts.

Scartaglen Coiste Na nÓg has teams in ages from under seven to under 15.

Club mentors are reporting great numbers attending training and matches since the resumption of play earlier this year.

Appreciation for Garvey’s

“We have just finished a very successful session of Cúl Camps this week with 94 members attending every day.” said Tadhg O’Connor, club PRO.

“We would like to thank Seamus O’Connor, manager of Garvey’s SuperValu, Castleisland for their very kind contribution towards the cost of supplying a football to each member of Scartaglen Coiste Na nÓg.

“This will give each child an opportunity to practice their skills when at home.” said Tadhg.
