Stephen Crookes from Mount Eagle, Brosna got a pleasant surprise when he recently opened a Cara Credit Union Current Account and applied for a globally accepted Mastercard Debit Card.
As Cara Credit Union celebrated opening 3,000 current account since its launch in late 2019, they gifted Stephen with a cash prize to spend on his new Mastercard Debit Card.

I have been a loyal member of the credit union for many years and I am delighted that I can do all my banking with them now,” said Stephen as he received the presentation at the Castleisland office this morning.
Globally Accepted Debit Card
The Cara Credit Union Current Account includes the globally accepted Mastercard Debit Card with contactless payments, standing orders, direct debits, and the option of an overdraft facility.

Contactless Transactions
A low monthly fee of €4 applies and that covers unlimited euro point of sale and contactless transactions, unlimited mobile and online banking and unlimited standing orders and direct debit processing and up to five euro ATM withdrawals per month.
The Credit Union current account is Apple Pay, Google Pay and Fitbit Pay enabled. Students and members over the age of 66 are eligible for free banking – terms and conditions apply.
