Notice is hereby given that, pursuant to Section 75 of the Roads Act 1993, and the Temporary Closing of Roads Regulations 1994, Kerry County Council is proposing to close to public traffic the following road: Road Closed: N22 Farranfore Village from the Railway Crossing to the R561 Firies / Currow Junction.

Road Closing Times: from Monday, October 4th to Thursday, 7th October 7th on four nights from 7pm until 7am.

The purpose of the road closure is to facilitate the installation of a new 600mm ductile iron water-main and tie-ins to existing connections from this new main.

A Matter of Road Safety

The corridor to lay this size of water=main and complete tie-in connections will not allow traffic to pass the works safely as the road will be too narrow.

Diversions will be as follows: Traffic travelling to Farranfore N22 to Tralee onto Milltown N70 onto Kilorglin N70 onto Killarney N72 and onto Farranfore N22.

Traffic travelling from Farranfore N22 to Killarney onto Kilorglin N72 onto Milltown N70 and onto Tralee N70.

Diversions will be clearly signposted. Local access will be provided for Emergency Services and local residents.
