Fantastic Folk Night and Free Food by the Fire at The Crown on Friday Evening

Teresa Horgan and Mike Coult will play in The Crown Bar on Friday evening from 9:30pm. Patrons will enjoy samples of bar’s legendary food at the interval.

A News-Flash from the people at The Crown on Castleisland’s Main Street included an invitation, a declaration of delight and an announcement  that they are hosting Teresa Horgan, one of Ireland’s finest folk singers on this Friday evening from 9:30pm with Michael Coult in accompaniment.

“So, come join us in our cosy bar where we will have the fire blazing while listening to a fantastic evening’s entertainment,” said manager Thomas Mann.

“And, at the interval we will be serving The Crown’s legendary chicken wings in a Dingle Whiskey, sweet and sticky sauce with a blue cheese dip and creamy apple slaw.

“There won’t be an entry fee and the food will all be complimentary,” said Thomas.

Fresh from an outstanding weekend of ceol agus craic over the Patrick O’Keeffe Traditional Music Festival, The Crown also provided complementary food to musicians and anyone in need of sustenance throughout the bank holiday weekend festival.

Locals and visitors alike availed of and commented positively on the availability of the complimentary food and, no doubt, it all fed into the atmosphere and fuelled the flow of favourable responses to the festival and to the town in general.
