The last time most of us would have seen a public auction of farm-land would have been in a re-run of ‘The Field’ – the film based on the play by the late Dr. John B. Keane.
Now, here in Castleisland tomorrow a local auctioneer will offer up an attractive tract of farmland at a public auction.
The 45.5 acre farm in the Kilcow area of Castleisland is attracting a lot of interest ahead of a public auction at the River Island Hotel on this Wednesday afternoon at 1:30pm.
Interest Growing by the Day
“There is already a lot of interest in this parcel of farmland and that interest is growing by the day and it will reach a pitch not seen in the Castleisland area for quite a while,” said Tom Stuart of the Castleisland based Stuart & Company, Auctioneers and Valuers.
Mr. Stuart was speaking about the first public auction of farmland in the area for years.
Excellent land quality and accessibility are combining to draw in potential buyers.
