Muire Gan Smál Pre School and Primary School Now Taking Enrollments

Muire Gan Smál Primary School is one of Castleisland’s most respected seats of early learning and, in more recent years, the learning became even earlier with the rolling development of its pre-school service.

“Muire Gan Smál Pre School and Primary School, Castleisland operates a full day care service from 8:15am to 5:30pm.,” as Principal Séamus Moynihan explained:

“Our Junior Infants partake in the Aistear programme which develops a strong sense of identity and well-being. The Ready, Steady Maths initiative and Literacy Lift Off Programme which we implement and aim to develop each child’s proficiency in numeracy and literacy.

“Our facilities include sports hall, stage, outdoor classroom, basketball court, astro turf, trampoline garden and playground.

“Some of our school activities are: debating; school concerts; STEM projects, Junior Entrepreneur and gymnastics.

“As well as involvement in various sporting and musical activities, our children participate in: Credit Union Quiz; Discover Science; Erasmus Projects; Active Schools and Green Schools Programmes.
