Firies Mother and Daughter win Split the Bucket Draw on Consecutive Weeks

Last week’s Castleisland RFC Split the Bucket Draw winner, Maureen Murphy from Firies being presented with her cheque for €1,003 by Aidan Ward at Centra Castleisland. Aidan then drew Maureen’s daughter, Laura’s envelope from the drum and she won €1,006.

There was yet another first for the Castleisland RFC Split the Bucket Draw at the weekend.

The draw, which has been running since September 2018, with the exception of the interruption which tripped everything up, has produced all kinds of winning combinations and conundrums.

The most unusual is the case of four time winner, Mary O’Connell – probably. But Saturday’s result takes the biscuit for this year so far.

Then it Was Laura’s Turn

He obliged and created the latest first as this week’s winner, Laura Murphy from Firies won €1,006. Then it was revealed that Laura’s mom was standing there beside them with her own cheque from last week in her purse.

Laura is Maureen’s daughter and Split the Bucket’s own lady luck was definitely shining down on the Murphy family between both Saturdays.

Next week’s draw will be on this Saturday night in The Crown Bar at around 9:30pm.

How to Play Split the Bucket

Split the Bucket draw envelopes are available in shops and pubs throughout this and neighbouring parishes.

You simply put your €2 in the envelope, seal it and sign it and add your telephone number and pop it in the bucket or the club coloured, red and blue stands.
