Road Safety Concerns as Hi-Vis Jackets Wanted for Ukrainian War Refugees

Nuala Curtin is asking for donations of Hi-Vis jackets at the Shoemaker’s Bar for the safety of the Ukrainian war refugees who walk to Tralee from their new base in the Earl of Desmond Hotel.

Nuala Curtin from the Shoemaker’s Bar sent a message with an appeal for hi-vis jackets for the Ukrainian war refugees staying in the Earl of Desmond Hotel.

“I was in touch with Tralee International Resource Centre and they informed me that they are looking for hi-vis jackets as the new arrivals at the Earl of Desmond Hotel are walking into Tralee every day and it would be much safer if they were wearing these.

The Road Safety Authority gave out tens of thousands of these jackets years ago so if anyone has spares lying around they could drop them into me at The Shoemakers,” said Nuala.
