Minister Foley Welcomes Over €1 million in Funding for Kerry Airport

Minister for Education Norma Foley, TD who has welcomed the allocation of over €1 million in funding for Kerry Airport.

Minister for Education and Kerry TD Norma Foley has welcomed the announcement of €1,084,482 in funding for Kerry Airport under the Regional Airports Programme.

Almost €16.4 million in exchequer funding is to be allocated to Ireland’s regional airports, to contribute towards capital investment in the areas of safety and security, and sustainability.

This funding will support a great number of safety and security related capital projects, ensuring that Kerry Airport can continue to remain compliant with regulatory requirements in these areas.

Minster Foley said that she welcomes this funding which will provide support for essential capital development at Kerry Airport.

“This vital funding will provide a timely boost for the aviation sector in the south west region while ensuring the successful continuation of regional connectivity at Kerry Airport,” said Minister Foley.
