Opel/Vauxhall Run Kerry Raised Over €2,000 for Hospice

The Opel/Vauxhall/GM Run Kerry was held on Sunday May 8th from the headquarters of sponsors Ahern’s Garage, Tralee Road, Castleisland.

Up to 65 Opel / Vauxhall enthusiasts headed off at 11am for a scenic drive around West Kerry.

“We headed up Caherconnre just outside Camp and then on to Inch Beach for our first stop of the day,” said event spokesman, Mike Horan.

“Our next set of destinations included Minard Castle, Dingle, Slea Head and then Paidí Ó Sé’s Pub for well-deserved food and refreshments and we returned via Conor Pass.

“We would like to thank everybody for their generous support of the run for the Kerry Hospice Foundation.

“We were delighted to present a cheque for €2,170 recently to Kerry Hospice Foundation, Chairperson Jack Shanahan and Secretary, Mary Shanahan,” said Mike.
