Athletes Back on the Road for An Ríocht AC 5k Road Race Series

At this week’s An Ríocht Athletic Club 50/50 Fundraising Draw at Diarmuid’s Butchers with proprietor Diarmuid Reidy holding the just drawn envelope of Katie Prendiville who won €406 in the club’s 50/50 fundraiser for the development of the town park. An Ríocht AC will host the Coillte 5k Road Race Series 2022, spread over three Friday evenings in August and September! The races with take place on August 26th. September 2nd and 16th and all with 7pm starting times.
The races will start on Castleisland’s Main Street and finish on the club track.

The route chosen is fast and flat, a brilliant chance to get those hard eared personal best times – according to those in the know.
Registration is all on Eventmaster. You can enter each race individually for €12 or for the three at €30.

Special Finisher Gift

There will be a special finisher gift for each runner and winners prizes including age category. Prizes will be presented on the final night, with the best two results in the series counting for prizes. An Ríocht Club’s 50/50 Draw

Meanwhile, An Ríocht AC 50/50 fundraising draw is doing its Monday morning rounds of local outlets and winner announcements.

The latest was held at Diarmuid’s Butchers on Main Street. There, Mary Donegan, Knocknagoshel collected her cheque for €560 from club treasurer Tom O’Leary.

Proprietor and draw host Diarmuid Reidy drew this week’s winner, Katie Prendiville’s envelope for a €406 cheque for her to collect on the coming Monday morning.

The draw will also be going online soon. Next week’s draw will be at Phil Horan’s.
