Minister Foley Welcomes over €3 million in Funding for Munster Technological University

Minister for Education and Kerry TD Norma Foley has welcomed the announcement of €3,266,915 in funding for Munster Technological University (MTU) to support green initiatives and increase accessibility for students.

The funding can be used to support universal access; energy efficiency and decarbonisation; to help students access laptops and other essential equipment; upgrading buildings and other minor works.

Minster Foley said that this vital investment will ensure that MTU continues to lead the way in terms inclusivity and accessibility for all people.

Significant Tranche of Funding

“This significant tranche of funding will also provide extra resources for students to access laptops and key Information and Communication Technology,” said Minister Foley.

The funding forms part of ongoing investment in the higher education sector under Project Ireland 2040 and reaffirms a strong commitment to public investment in higher education infrastructure.
