Kate Pat’s Fundraiser for Sudan

This Saturday, August 27th at 8pm there is a fundraiser event at Kate Pat’s Bar in aid of the wonderful work of Tim Galvin in Sudan.

There will be music, a monster raffle and a great night of fun. Please be there to support such a worthy cause.

If you are unable to be there in person, drop any donations you might wish to make into Maria and Jimmy before the event. Thank you everyone.

Curtin Raiser

Congratulations to Dave Curtin who joined the Kerry GAA Masters in their All Ireland semi final last Saturday evening.

Sadly they were beaten by the Dubs in their match in Golden. The disappointment didn’t stop Dave being back in his jersey for Brosna on Sunday against Annascaul.

Well done on having extended your career and still showing up for your club.

And in a separate story, Dave and Mary’s daughter, Niamh, stepped out during the Festival of Kerry as a Rosebud for the Queensland Rose.

One minute she’s in her jersey getting a Player of the Week award and next she’s in a ballgown and on parade.

Niamh, you are an example of a truly modern woman – a multi-hyphenate.

Brosna GAA News

Although we didn’t get over the line with Annascaul, we are safely staying at our Junior Premier level.

Well done to the management and team.  Looking forward to the ever-elusive North Kerry Championship that’s starting later in the year.
