“I have been inundated with calls from concerned parents over the past number of weeks regarding places for their children on school buses,” said Danny Healy Rae TD in a statement this afternoon.
“The Government created this mess by saying every child would get free transport to all schools and this was done without local knowledge of what would be involved in each area.
“This has created massive confusion and concern on the ground for parents.
“I would like to thank our local Bus Éireann office and the inspectors for their great efforts trying to resolve the issues over the last few weeks,” said Deputy Danny.
