Cllr. Charlie Farrelly sent a note expressing his delight at the news that a second Bus Éireann bus has been assigned to service Kilmurry National School in Cordal.
“I’m delighted to share the good news that a second Bus Éireann school bus has been added to the route serving Scoil Mhuire, Kilmurry National School in Cordal, Castleisland.
Sign of Achievements
“It’s a great sign of the achievements of the management and staff of the school that they are able to attract so many new students to this progressive school,” said Cllr. Farrelly.
Cllr. Farrelly also thanked fellow politicians for their support in securing the extra transport for the the school going population of the sprawling, rural community.

“I’d like to thank Minister for Education, Norma Foley, TD for her input on this matter and my fellow Kerry County Council elected member, Cllr. Fionnán Fitzgerald for his support on the issue,” said Cllr. Farrelly.
Kilmurry National School began the 2022 / 23 year last week with a total of 13 junior infants enrolled for the term and with a programme of new developments at the school over recent years, the future looks bright for all at Scoil Mhuire.
