Derby Night Excitement

I know I wasn’t alone tuning in to the exciting Derby final on Saturday.

What a night of excitement for the whole community.  Although the outcome wasn’t as hoped for, we send congratulations to the Murphy family for capturing the imagination of so many of us leading up to this great event.

And to Calloway Pro Am, no doubt this young dog will have many other nights of glory. Greatness isn’t won or lost in a single race – it’s the work of a lifetime. A good metaphor for life.

GAA Glory for Unstoppable U-11s

Congratulations to our unstoppable U11 squad who took home the district shield on Sunday.

The thrilling final took place in Castleisland against a talented Currow. But it was our U-11 girls and boys who had the classy touch on the day.

Well done to Seamus O’Connor, Tom McGoldrick and Danny Downey who took on the mantle of trainers. Yet more trophies for the club-house. Keep ‘em coming!

Condolences Extended

We extend our heartfelt sympathies to the family, partner and friends of the late Anne Corridan Burke.

A much beloved lady, Anne has left a legacy of kindness in her wake.

We wish for comfort and consolation to all those who will miss her dearly. Gone far too soon, Anne. Rest in Peace.
