Centra Castleisland Manager, Jim Healy hosted the latest gathering of the An Ríocht 50/50 Fundraising Draw for the re-surfacing development of the perimeter walk area of the town park facilities.

Frank O’Sullivan from the Scart side of Dromulton emerged as the winner of the €412 prize on offer.

Next week’s draw will be held at Eileen’s Bakery and Deli at 11am on Monday morning.

Saturday Entry Deadlines

The deadline for entries is Saturday evenings and the draws are always made at 11am on Monday mornings.

Draw organisers, Joe Walsh and Tom O’Leary are urging people in the area of coverage to support their An Ríocht 50/50 Draw.

The draw came into being in order to complete the resurfacing of the path which skirts the clubhouse and track and takes in the river walk.

A section on the western front of the clubhouse got the tarmac treatment earlier this year and it gives people an idea of how the rest of the park skirting walk could be by supporting this draw.

Couch-to-5k Autumn / Winter Series is Back

The club caters for increasing levels of participation from youth in sport from hill and valley around here and it needs the support these draws provide.

And its popular Couch-to-5k autumn / winter series is back on Monday and Wednesday nights at 7pm and being well attended by all accounts.

An Ríocht, in its capacity as guardians of the town park, can claim that it’s improving its outdoor facilities and paths and thereby catering for all ages and levels of mobility and all sectors of the community here and beyond.
