A fire show with druids, a fire dragon and some giant goths will light up the area around the Castleisland Library Car Park on Thursday evening from 7pm.
The show will bring its audience on a journey where they won’t know what comes next. An explosion of fire, light, skill and the ridiculous.
The presentation lasts approximately an hour and is presented as part of the October 2022 An Turas Mór – Homecoming Kerry initiative.
What’s It All About ?
Apart from the fire and the spectacle and the ‘don’t try this at home’ kind of stuff that it will bring, according to Kerry County Council, An Turas Mór – Homecoming Kerry’ is a county-wide initiative to bring home the Kerry Diaspora during the month of October this year.
It is presented by Kerry County Council as part of the Global Irish Festival Series which is a joint initiative between Fáilte Ireland and the Department of Foreign Affairs.
An Turas Mór is a call home from all aspects of Kerry business, tourism, sports and cultural organisations spearheaded by Kerry County Council to come home and enjoy close to forty events and activities that will take place throughout the county during the month of October this year.
Uniquely Positioned
“Kerry is the home of writers, musicians and sports people. We are uniquely positioned to welcome home tens of thousands of our immigrants to not alone return home to celebrate with us but to bring their new community with them from all genres of the arts, cultural, heritage and sports communities,” according to the background information.
And then it will be music, music, music for the rest of the weekend in Castleisland.
