Kerry’s All-Ireland glory moved from the traditional Croke Park to the Intercontinental Hotel in Dublin as Cara Credit Union picked up not one, but two All-Ireland awards on Saturday, October 22nd.

The All-Ireland Credit Union Awards were established to celebrate and commemorate the hard work, diligence and dedication of the staff, volunteers and directors that comprise Ireland’s most loved and trusted financial institution.

Despite the challenges of the last two years Credit Unions continued to grow, offering support, service and hope to their members.

Making Lives Better

The All-Ireland Credit Union Awards recognise the unwavering effort of those who devote their time to making people’s lives better.

Cara Credit Union picked up the award for the Best Marketing Initiative for their campaign titled ‘How to Rock your College Experience’. This programme was delivered to sixth year post-primary students in Tralee, Killorglin, Castleisland and Causeway. The in-person session covered topics such as: moving away from home, settling in to the new learning environment, how to cook on a budget, healthy relationships, personal safety, what to do if you picked the wrong course and money matters.

Unique Student Supports

“Cara Credit Union partnered with Mary Lucey from Career Ahead to develop this unique programme to support students as they move into third level education. This award is a huge endorsement and we look forward to building on this programme in the years ahead,” said Siobhán Donnelly, Marketing Manager Cara Credit Union.

Also on the night Cara Credit Union picked up the highly sought after Member’s Choice Award. This award was based on members voting for their credit union.

A Proud Team Moment

Pa Laide CEO Cara Credit Union said that this award is testament to the level of service Cara Credit Union provide each and every-day.

“It really highlights the difference our team makes to members lives, going above and beyond on a regular basis. We are most humbled that our members took the time to vote for Cara Credit Union, and this award is a very proud moment for all the team,” said Mr. Laide.
