The Eir-ise Knocknagoshel, anti mast protest spokeswoman, Michelle Keane sent an elated response to a conversation she had this morning with officials from Kerry County Council.
“I spoke with the planning department of Kerry County Council today the 11th. November 2022, and they informed me that the application, File No: 2211/03, was rejected and sent back to Eircom on the 7th.of November 2022 as the wording was wrong and as far as Kerry County Council is concerned Eir has no application in relation to erecting a 15metre mast / mono-pole in Knocknagoshel,” said a happy Michelle.
Brand New Application
What can happen now ? She asks. “Eir will have to submit a brand new application for planning permission to Kerry
County Council to erect its mast using the correct wording and they have to re-advertise in the newspapers and Eir has a track record for advertising in the Irish Times Newspaper so please keep an eye out on all local and national newspapers.
Keep a Look Out
“A new site notice has to be put up with the correct wording and date so if you are passing through the village please keep a look out.
“Any one that has objected to Kerry County Council, and paid the €20 fee, please don’t worry as Kerry County Council, will post you back out your submission and the €20 by return post.
Thank You to Knocknagoshel
I would like to say a huge thank you to Kerry County Council planning department for advising me of this when I contacted them by phone this morning. Also a huge thank you to the residents of Knocknagoshel. I will keep ye updated.
Your Sincerely, Michelle Keane , Eir mast rally protest organiser, Tel: 086 8140354
